While the cactus takes more and more shape under Ellen hands, I go off to visit the other factories involved in the process. The concrete factory gives me two examples of coloured concrete for the flowerpot.
As the factory is quite near the roundabout I go and test the two examples on the spot

The alderman culture and welfare, who is my comissionar advertises himself on the poster in the flowerpot together with an inhabitant of the quarter of the same party. Both of them I know and both of them have lead me around in the neighbourhood, now almost two years ago. The idea was to finish the work of art before the term of mister Jan van Breukelen as alderman was finished. Let's hope he is re-elected, the cactus will be ready shortly before the first of July, I espect.

The orange is the better option for the pot. The red dissolves in the environment of the roundabout. It has exactly the same colour as the bicycle pathes.This colour makes the environment 'dirty' whereas the orange enlightens the reds, greens and oranges of the schoolbuildings and infrastructure.

Meanwhile I am knitting 4 square meters of cactus skin. ! pictures and studies in the botanic garden around the corner of my house have taught me how to increase the stitches.

Hoi Lino, Hoe gaat het met de huid van de cactus? Ga je het via glas casting laten maken? Ik dacht dat je voor brons altijd met was moest werken. Weer wat geleerd. Wat dat oranje voor de pot betreft denk ik dat je groot gelijk hebt. Weet je eigenlijk zeker dat de huid van de cactus "natuurlijk" moet worden? ( let maar niet op mij ik vond dat basic gevoel van het echte breiwerk zo lekker) Ga je nog cactus breien met de wijk? Ingrid Lambrechts die naast Jan van Breukelen op de poster staat lijkt de nieuwe voorzitter van het CDA te worden in de gemeente en wordt dan misschien ook de nieuwe wethouder, even afwachten maar.
